How the Perfect — LinkedIn Connection Sync Chrome extension handles your data, in plain terms.

Nothing happens until you allow it

The first time Perfect pairs with this extension, the extension opens its own window describing exactly what is below and asks you to allow it. Until you do, the extension sends nothing at all — no cookie leaves your browser on any trigger.

01What this extension does

“Perfect — LinkedIn Connection Sync” exists for one purpose: to keep the LinkedIn connection you authorized inside the Perfect recruiting platform (https://www.goperfect.com) working. LinkedIn periodically rotates the session cookie that authorizes that connection. Without this extension, the connection silently breaks and your outreach stops until you reconnect by hand.

02What we access

  • LinkedIn session cookies (li_at, li_a and, only to authenticate the identity check below, JSESSIONID) from your browser.
  • Your browser's user agent string, which LinkedIn requires to accept a session.
  • Your LinkedIn public identifier (the handle in your profile URL), read on a best-effort basis so that Perfect can verify the session belongs to the same LinkedIn account you connected, and refuse it otherwise.
  • A pairing token issued by Perfect when you connect, stored locally in the extension so it can authenticate its requests.

The extension reads nothing else. It injects no code into web pages, does not read page content, does not track your browsing, and does not touch any site other than LinkedIn and Perfect's own API.

03Where it goes

The values above are sent only to Perfect's API (api.goperfect.com, or your Perfect environment's API host), over HTTPS, attached to your own Perfect account. They are stored encrypted at rest and are used solely to maintain and, when it breaks, silently restore your authorized LinkedIn integration inside Perfect.

We do not sell this data, do not share it with third parties beyond the infrastructure providers that operate Perfect's platform (including Unipile, the LinkedIn integration provider through which the authorized session is used), and do not use it for advertising, profiling, creditworthiness, lending, or any purpose unrelated to the feature described here.

04Your control

  • Uninstalling the extension stops all syncing immediately.
  • Removing your LinkedIn account in Perfect (Settings → LinkedIn) deletes the stored session data for it on our side, and revokes the extension's pairing token once you have no LinkedIn account connected to Perfect at all.
  • Logging out of LinkedIn in this browser means there is no session for the extension to read, and nothing is sent.

05Limited Use

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
